
INTRODUCTION
Those who have duties and responsibilities in life are able to let go of them and escape from them at the end of each workday as well as at certain times in the course of workday. However, there is a very heavy burden that we always carry. We shoulder this burden endlessly in the round of rebirths without knowing any way of escape or relief from it.

We see pleasant and unpleasant things, things we like and things we don’t like, things we decide to pursue and things we try our best to avoid. We act this way because we know from experiences how to manipulate our circumstances to our own greatest advantage and least possible disadvantage. This is what constitutes our knowledge.

We are also people who hold what is wrong to be right and what is right to be wrong, not only in this very life but also throughout the round of rebirths. When our bad Kamma ripens, we think what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong. This is what I share with all the readers of this book.

The truth, the Buddha realized and taught, is still available to us today. It is profound and far reaching. It consists of conventional truth and ultimate truth. There is no truth in the entire world that is not contained in those two truths.

” Bhikkhus, this holy life should be lived without disciples within; without a master within. Bhikkhus, the bhikkhu who does not have the disciple and master within dwells in peace.

We are born into this world as humans. We live for a brief period as humans. Then one day we die discarding our human form. At best, our passage from birth to death is fleeting. Time is limited. So, what exactly are we humans doing with our lives during this brief journey?
